Brenda Upton Photography bio picture

Welcome

Hi there!  And welcome to my blog!

I'm Brenda, and I LOVE my job.  Being able to do something for a living that never really feels like "work" is amazing.  I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia where I studied art and photography.  Since then I started digging my heels into all areas of photography, trying to find my niche.  Once I tagged along as a second shooter at a wedding with a friend, I knew I had found it.  I love that I get to be a part of such an important day in people's lives and document it for generations to pass on.

Family Time

It’s been a while since I made a personal post, and I had promised my mother-in-law to post these pics so long ago!  You may recall from my old blog that she (we call her “Ma Faye”) lives in the huge town of Portal, GA!  We went down to visit her back in the summer and I even got her to pose for a few portraits!

So pretty!

Ma Faye and her boyMa Faye is so good at gardening (among many things) and always has some gorgeous flowers blooming…I think these are called Hibiscus?

The hummingbirds were definitely hungry when we visited.  I had never seen one not in flight!

Mimi was just chillin by the window, wishing she could get her paws on one of them.

Then these next few photos are from our recent trip to Blue Ridge, GA.  What a great time! Here they are with Ben’s sister, Tiffany.

And even I got to be in one!  Thanks Tiff!

Then we went apple picking!  Or should I say “rotten apple avoiding” since that mostly what there was.

Then Ma Faye picked some pretty leaves to frameAnd maybe that was bad “tree karma” or something, because shortly after Ben and Tiff got hit with this tree limb!  Thank God they were not hurt badly!

Besides all the drama with the tree we had such an amazing time.  And here was a view of the river.

And or not so beautiful view of the “art” that was in the cabin!  We could not figure this out:)

As busy as I’ve been lately (which I am very thankful for!) I wanted to take some time to show you these! Back to business soon enough:)  Hope you like them, Ma Faye!
