Brenda Upton Photography bio picture

Hi there!  And welcome to my blog!

I'm Brenda, and I LOVE my job.  Being able to do something for a living that never really feels like "work" is amazing.  I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia where I studied art and photography.  Since then I started digging my heels into all areas of photography, trying to find my niche.  Once I tagged along as a second shooter at a wedding with a friend, I knew I had found it.  I love that I get to be a part of such an important day in people's lives and document it for generations to pass on.

Jennifer & Bret- Flint Hill

Wow!  I’ve been away for quite some time, I know…I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  I know I did:)  I’ve been so busy lately with editing and shooting Portraits that I have been neglecting the blog!  How dare I!  I promise this next week that I will be catching you up on all my recent work.

Here are some of my favorite images from Jennifer and Bret’s amazingly gorgeous wedding back in November.  What a beautiful day it was!  The leaves were at their colorful peak, the sky was blue and it was the perfect temperature.  Everybody at this wedding was soooo sweet!  One thing that stood out to me was how close and important family was to the bride and groom.  We had a random coincidence too!  Jennifer’s parents have the same first names as my parents!  How weird, huh?

Jennifer’s mom was sooo cute!  Everytime she started to cry, she’d look up and start counting things!  In the Bride’s room where Jennifer was getting ready there were a bunch of teacups on a shelf.  Whenever she got choked up, she’d look up and go, “Teacups!”  So sweet.  Here she is seeing Jennifer for the first time with her veil. And the gorgeous bride…

A few details…Her dad watching her come down the stairs in her dress:)

What a great smile!

I love this family portrait!

Bret and the fellasReady to go!

Did I mention it was a beautiful day?

Bret is in the Air Force, so the of course they had this!

The bridal party

And the happy couple

I caught this moment during their first dance…

It was also Jennifer’s grandmother’s birthday!  So, she got her own cake:)I loved this idea, paper airplanes for exit throwers (since Bret’s in the Air Force)…though I was a little bit scared during the exit that someone would loose an eye.  Luckily, there were no injuries.

What an awesome day.  Thanks Jennifer and Bret and both of your families for being so awesome!
